Homsy.ca is the real-estate property-search platform operated by Alex Goodman, Sales Representative, of RE/MAX Your Community Realty, Brokerage.
In this policy, "we", "us", "Homsy" and "the platform" refer to the above. We are the party responsible for personal information collected through homsy.ca. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and share it, and your rights under Canadian privacy law, principally the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics tools on the platform today. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Where information described above is linked to your account, we treat it as personal information under PIPEDA and it is protected by this policy.
We rely on your consent for collection and use, and you may withdraw it (see below). Some processing is necessary to provide a service you requested.
Marketing messages (email and, where your consent covers them, text messages) are sent only with your express consent, which you give by ticking an un-ticked-by-default consent box where we ask for it (for example, at sign-up or when requesting a CMA). We keep a record of your consent. Transactional messages (verification codes, password resets, booking confirmations, and replies to your requests) are sent as part of a service you requested and are not marketing.
You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by replying STOP to any marketing text message, or by emailing info@homsy.ca. We action unsubscribe requests promptly. Withdrawing marketing consent does not delete your account or stop transactional messages.
We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage items to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as recent views and search filters), and secure the site. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics cookies today. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality (for example, staying signed in).
We share personal information only as needed to run the platform, with service providers bound to protect it. These include real-estate data providers (for MLS® listing data provided under licence from TRREB and CREA), technology and hosting providers, communications providers (for the emails and messages described above), and mapping providers.
Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada (for example, in the United States); where that occurs, the information is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We do not sell your personal information.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with MLS®/VOW compliance and audits.
Listing and sold data is provided under licence from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) and CREA. Access to certain data (such as sold prices and price history) requires you to register and agree to the applicable VOW (Virtual Office Website) terms. Your use of that data is subject to those terms and the Terms of Use.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law — including the record-keeping obligations that apply to real-estate professionals in Ontario. Account information is retained while your account is active. When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or de-identified.

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The platform is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change and, where appropriate, we will notify you. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
